TE CUIDO LABS: Research for the integration of technological solutions for remote care and assistance from multi-service centers to people in vulnerable situations. Proof of concept in representative pilots

It is a collaborative project, coordinated by Cluster SIVI and with AEICE (Habitat and Efficient Construction Cluster), Fundación Santa María la Real, IDES and Blue Connecting Emotions, as partners of the consortium.

The TE CUIDO LABS project continues the research that was developed in its father project, TE CUIDO, where a model of social care for people in vulnerable situations who live alone was defined, managed from multi-service centers or other points of care.

Now, TE CUIDO LABS will carry out a proof of concept on this care model in LivingLabs, pilots that are representative of the diversity of environments and people in vulnerable situations in Spain.

At TE CUIDO LABS we confront the evidence and findings extracted from a previous research phase, with the real needs of the people under study at TE CUIDO.

The contrast of ideas versus realities will force us to carry out, once again, empathetic, heterogeneous and objective listening. The result of this second phase will also mark a turning point and strategic decision-making in order to approach the subsequent Experimental Development of the TE CUIDO 4.0 Platform.

Therefore, to reach the decision of which solution is optimal, we must act according to the feedback from users, being faithful to their needs, interests and desires.

TE CUIDO LABS contemplates:

  1. The investigation to incorporate sensorization of homes according to updated criteria on situations of need.
  2. The investigation of incorporation of permanent access to data on:
    • Environment control
    • Risks
    • Health
    • Comfort
    • Accompaniment
  3. The development of data analytics algorithms that allow recording and monitoring movements of older people for the sake of safety and other types of variables that can be determined to be relevant.
